From the village of Sörenberg the route leads you up to the moor paradise Salwideli and into the beautiful biosphere nature. Here you are in the middle of a moor landscape of national importance. Extraordinary animals live here, there are carnivorous plants and romantically wild mountain pine forests. At Alp Salwiden you will find some resting benches, ideal for enjoying your mid-morning snack to go. You cycle up an alpine road to Blattenegg, where you can once again enjoy the fascinating view of the village of Sörenberg and the surrounding mountain world with Brienzer Rothorn, Nünalpstock, Haglere and Schrattenfluh. The next section is relatively steep, you might want to push your e-bike briefly here. But don’t worry, soon you can get back in the saddle and rush to your well-deserved lunch at Alphotel Schwand.

Equipment
Good equipment including rain and thermal protection and wearing a helmet are of course essential. Repair and first aid kits are always with you. Your bike is roadworthy and you have lights for dusk. E-bikes require daytime running lights on all public traffic areas.
Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch lies in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You can reach Sörenberg via main road 10 towards Schüpfheim and from there to Flühli Sörenberg.
In summer, you can reach Sörenberg via Sarnen - Giswil over the Glaubenbielen Pass.
A paid parking lot is available at the valley station of the cable car.
You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne railway line). From Schüpfheim take the post bus to Sörenberg "Post". Plan your trip with the SBB online timetable.

- Blattenegg steep passage through scree (possibly pushing section)
- Don't miss the turnoff to Alphotel Schwand (adjust your descending speed)
Wear the proper protective gear, correctly assess your skills, give way to hikers, stay on the trail and close pasture fences! Follow the Bike Code Central Switzerland - that way you will be welcome on your mountain bike!
