Your guide to mountain adventures

In Sörenberg, a wide range of mountain activities awaits you, whatever the season. Be inspired by the Mooraculum adventure park on the Rossweid, relax by the Eisee lake, or take in the breathtaking views from the Brienzer Rothorn – there’s something for everyone here!

Brienzer Rothorn

Top of Biosphäre

The Brienzer Rothorn rises majestically above Entlebuch and, at 2,350 metres, is the highest mountain in the canton of Lucerne. This impressive massif offers panoramic views of 693 peaks, the turquoise-blue Lake Brienz, and the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of ‘Top of Biosphere’

Mountain jewel Eisee

While the first guests at the summit start their day bright and early, it’s a little quieter just a few metres below. Step into the cosy parlour, where host Samuel Bernhard greets you with his famous cheese toastie. Take a break from skiing and enjoy a coffee on the sun terrace at Berghaus Eisee.

Moorlands

The Sörenberg Moor Worlds are a unique ecosystem, home to distinctive flora and fauna. Rare plants such as cotton grass, sundews, and orchids thrive across the vast moorlands. These raised bogs—part of the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve—provide habitats for numerous bird species, amphibians, and insects. Protecting this sensitive landscape is of utmost importance, and visitors are encouraged to explore it respectfully while enjoying its unique atmosphere.
