Petri-Heil:
From mid-June to mid-October, rainbow trout, brown trout and char can be caught in the clear mountain lake thanks to the Fischer-Freunde Eisee. You will find the necessary fishing equipment in the immediate vicinity at the Berghaus Eisee. The mountain lodge invites you to relax on its spacious sun terrace, and you might even catch a glimpse of ibex, chamois or marmots.
From Sörenberg, you can take the cable car up to the Brienzer Rothorn in around 7 minutes.
Then take a 4-5 minute walk through the connecting tunnel to the Eisee chairlift station.
The chairlift takes you down to the Eisee.

On the sunrise trips from July 6 to September 28, 2025 (always on Sundays in good weather), you can reach the Brienzer Rothorn in the early hours of the morning. Afterwards, take a hike to the Eisee lake.

Fishing licences can be purchased at the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn cable car or directly at the Berghaus Eisee. Cable car tickets are available at the valley station of the cable car or you can purchase your ticket via Webshop.

- As an overnight guest, the cable car rides on the Brienzer Rothorn aerial cableway, the Eisee chairlift, and the Rossweid gondola are free of charge. When booking your stay, you will also receive the SörenbergCard free of charge for the duration of your visit.
Tip:
Purchase your fishing license on-site at Berghaus Eisee. A day license including the statistics fee costs CHF 38.–.
For companies and associations, the Fischer-Freunde Eisee, together with the Sörenberg cableways, offer a group package for a minimum of 10 people. Groups are guided by an instructor while fishing.
