On the culinary route for advanced hikers, you stop in three cantons and enjoy a local course from the gastronomy partners. On your hike from summit inn to summit inn, you can expect fantastic views of up to 693 mountain peaks. Reserve your ticket & pack your hiking backpack.

- Return trip on the Brienzer Rothorn cable car
- Return trip on the Eisee chairlift

- Main course at the Berghaus Eisee, Canton Obwalden

Online reservation
Advance reservation is required for both individual guests and groups. Here you can find the availability of the Rothorn culinary route and directly book the desired number of tickets. Important: Cancellations are possible from Tuesday to Friday up to 24 hours in advance. For appointments on Saturday to Monday, cancellations must be made by Friday at the latest, 12:00 noon.

You can customize the hiking route and use of the Eisee chairlift as you wish.
10:10 a.m. – 10:20 a.m. | Ride with the Brienzer Rothorn cable car
10:20 a.m. – 11:20 a.m. | Aperitif / starter at the Rothorn summit restaurant LU
Option 1 (hiking)
11:20 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. | 1-hour walk to Eisee
Option 2 (chairlift)
11:20 a.m. – 11:35 a.m. | Walk through the tunnel to the Eisee chairlift
11:35 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. | Ride on the chairlift to Eisee
→ The Eisee chairlift is out of service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
11:45 a.m. / 12:20 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. | Main course at Berghaus Eisee Canton OW
Option 1 (hiking)
1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Ascent from Eisee to Hotel Kulm
Option 2 (chairlift)
1:30 p.m. – 1:40 p.m. | Ride on the chairlift to the summit station
1:40 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Walk through the tunnel to the Kulm restaurant

Directions & Parking facilities
The UNESCO Biosphere Entlebuch is located in the heart of Switzerland, centrally between Bern and Lucerne. You reach Sörenberg via main road 10 towards Schüpfheim and from there to Flühli Sörenberg. From Giswil, you drive via the panoramic road / Glaubenbielen Pass to Sörenberg.

A paid parking lot is available at the valley station of the Sörenberg-Brienzer Rothorn cable car.
You can reach Sörenberg by public transport via Schüpfheim (Bern-Lucerne train line). From Schüpfheim, you take the post bus to Sörenberg "Rothornbahn".
