On the two-day ridge hike "Steinbock Trek" in Sörenberg, there are not only fantastic views but also, with some luck, animal encounters with ibex, golden eagles, and others.

The mountain hike leads over a part of the world-famous Brienzer ridge and offers breathtaking panorama – with some luck you will encounter some ibex.

Anyone who loves nature will find their pleasure on the Brienzer Rothorn. One hundred years ago, the extinct ibex was reintroduced here, among other places at the Brienzer Rothorn. And the colony has developed wonderfully. Due to the proximity to the Augstmatthorn protected hunting area, many ibex are observed here. You can also see chamois, and golden eagles often spiral high in the thermals.
