Travelling by Car

Travelling to Sörenberg by car is straightforward and comfortable. Well-developed roads make the holiday resort easily accessible. However, allow sufficient travel time and take current weather conditions into account, as road conditions can change quickly, especially during winter.

Summer and Winter

Approach via Schüpfheim

You can reach Sörenberg by car via Wolhusen or Trubschachen.

  • From Lucerne:
    Main road no. 10 via Wolhusen to Schüpfheim, then turn towards Flühli–Sörenberg at the Landbrücke junction.
  • From Bern:
    Main road no. 10 via Langnau in Emmental to Schüpfheim, then turn towards Flühli–Sörenberg at the Landbrücke junction.
  • From Basel:
    Motorway exit Dagmersellen, follow the main road towards Willisau and continue to Wolhusen. From there, take main road no. 10 towards Bern to Schüpfheim, then turn towards Flühli–Sörenberg.

Only in Summer

Approach via Giswil

In summer, you can take the Glaubenbielen Pass (Panorama Road).

Restrictions for coaches and lorries:
The crossing is only possible in one direction at a time:

  • During odd hours (e.g. 09:00–10:00 | 11:00–12:00) only from Giswil to Sörenberg
  • During even hours (e.g. 10:00–11:00 | 12:00–13:00) only from Sörenberg to Giswil

Please note that these restrictions will apply from 13.10.2025.

Normal passenger cars are not affected by this regulation.
