Our favorite color? Sunset! In October you have the Brienzer Rothorn to yourself for a little longer. Enjoy the evening hours on Lucerne's highest mountain and the colorful spectacle of Mother Nature.

With the Magic Pass, you can enjoy the sunset ride free of charge and pass directly through the turnstile without needing an additional ticket.

⚠ Every Friday, a final decision will be made as to whether the sunset ride will take place. From 4.30 pm onwards, the latest information will be published on this website. ⚠

**Info:** After the last scheduled ascent, no additional gondolas will operate until sunset.

Sunrise on the Brienzer Rothorn

 

The early bird catches the worm, or in our case, the first rays of sunshine on the Brienzer Rothorn. If you've never been to the highest peak in Lucerne at sunrise, you should definitely put this experience on your bucket list. After the sunrise, fortify yourself with a delicious breakfast at the Rothorn summit restaurant.

🎶 **The dawn is now accompanied by the traditional sounds of the alphorn.**

**Important information:**
The final decision on whether to go ahead is made the day before (Saturday). From 4.30 p.m., this website will communicate whether the cable car will take place. You can also obtain information by calling this number: +41 41 488 15 60.

The Eisee chairlift will not operate earlier on sunrise rides. You can find the operating times for the Eisee chairlift .

 

Prices

The **Magic Pass, SBB Junior Card \| SBB Grandchild Card** and the **Sörenberg Card** are NOT valid for the sunrise rides. Tickets for the sunrise rides are available in our  or from the ticket machines. Please note that cash payment is not possible at the ticket machine. Debit cards and Twint are accepted at the ticket machines.
