Welcome to the highest point in Lucerne – *Top of the Biosphere!*

The Rothorn Summit Restaurant shines in new splendour. This self-service restaurant impresses with its panoramic windows and spacious terrace. From here, your gaze wanders north across the Waldemmental valley, and on clear days as far as the Napf region, the lakes beyond and even to the Black Forest. On the southern side, enjoy the view of the turquoise-blue Lake Brienz and the snow-capped Bernese Alps with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

“Down-to-earth, traditional, yet always good for a surprise” – this is how host Roland Felder describes his philosophy. Together with his team, he focuses on regional specialities and products from the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere.

Since autumn 2024, Roland Felder has been bringing fresh energy to the mountain. A true native of the Entlebuch region, he has taken the helm at the Rothorn Summit Restaurant. Under his leadership, guests can look forward not only to an expanded culinary offering, but also to the familiar charm of authentic mountain hospitality.

- Arrival
    
    From the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn cable car, you can reach 2,350 m above sea level in around 7 minutes. Arrival is possible during the  of the Sörenberg mountain lifts.
    
    You can find information on travelling by car or public transport . Paid parking spaces are available at the valley station of the Brienzer Rothorn cable car.
